Thanks, Orang Seputeh. I'm grateful that you have given me the opportunity to post directly to your blog. As you indicated before that the primary purpose of this blog is to focus on the security issues, I will confine any posts for the time being to that subject, but perhaps in the future as some of the security issues are resolved, it will be good to expand the topics to include others that affect the daily lives of people living in Taman Seputeh (the issue of street trees that I raised is of course only one of many).
In the meantime, I'll take the street tree issue up with Mark Tan offline and will follow up your very sensible suggestion of joining the SRA. You are right, even though I live in one of the condos (where were have our own residents' association) there are many issues that affect all residents whether they are living in townhouses, link homes, bungalows or condos.
