Sorry, folks, I don't have good news. Yes, it was Friday the 13th last week and another snatch theft took place at the link road to Mid Valley.
Here's what an eye-witness reported to Orang Seputeh:
On 13/2/09 at 9 p.m an Indian lady was sitting in her car waiting for her friend to deliver a document to her just on the road to Mid Valley from Seputeh (that short stretch with the U-turn. She had her car locked. A man came and tapped on the window on the passenger side and asked her to unlock her car. Just then, her friend arrived in his truck but was disracted by a phone call. Of course, she refused to open the window and guess what? The next thing was he smashed the window and snatched her handbag which was placed on the passenger seat. Before her friend could react, the man ran off with his motorcycle friend. The police arrived shortly after but what could they do except to promise to step up patrolling.
Well, let's hope we see fewer of this in the future.
Best regards,
Orang Seputeh

Interesting contributions to this security blog. It's not only the motor cyclist that commit crime, it can be any vehicle! A robbery occurred on Sunday afternoon, 1st February 2009. My neighbour was walking out from the Seputeh KTM station when a black Proton Wira stopped nearby the Stepping Homes road side and the driver offered to give her a ride to her house. She decline and continue walking towards Jalan Taman Seputeh 2. As she was reaching her home, she saw the same car was already parked several houses away and the driver rushed towards her shouting in Tamil to surrender her gold chain and bangles. He yanked the jewellery away and ran back to his car.
