Dear Seputeh residents,
Does anyone know anything about the accident where a lorry crashed into the garden wall of the detached house at the junction of Jalan Taman Seputeh and Jalan Sungai Dua?
Best regards,

Apparently it was a fully loaded cement lorry. It would appear to have approached the T junction way too fast and couldn't stop in the wet (or maybe the brakes just failed). Luckily there was no vehicle or pedestrians at the junction at that time, (or at least I have not heard of anyone/anything else involved). It was raining so presumably most of the early morning joggers/walkers decided to postpone their exercise.
In my opinion there should also be a speed hump just before the stop sign, as many people use this junction as though the stop sign was on the road coming down from Seputeh Heights! I was driving down this hill 3 years ago, and my car was 'T-boned' by someone driving out from the right without even slowing down or checking if anything was coming down the hill.
Ironically there is a speed bump as you come down the hill (just before this junction). It would seem to me that it is in the wrong place!! However having it there is no bad thing as otherwise there would probably be a lot more accidents at this very same junction
The new re-enforced wall and the 'crash barrier' at the side of the road will prevent a recurrence, even if an army tank loses control. Better safe than sorry.
