All fellow Orang Seputeh are very sad today to hear of an unprovoked attack on a resident whose house faces the "Great Wall of Seputeh Heights" at about 4am this morning.
According to a neighbour, a group of youths had gathered near the wall and in front of the Bukit Seputeh homes from 11pm or so on Friday night. Their gathering went on till the wee hours.
No one knows who they were or what they were doing but they were noisy. The neighbour told Seputeh Community Blog that he only heard of it this morning. What he subsequently learnt was that someone had called the police and a patrol car turned up at 2.30am.
After checking with the group and after one or more of the youths claiming to be a resident in the area, the patrol car advised them to disperse, not to make noise and the patrol car LEFT the scene.
The youths, of course, continued their "whatever" session. At about 4am, another resident who was irritated by the din caused, went out and told them to keep quiet. One word led to another and he was attacked, probably with a piece of wood.
The man suffered head inquries and is warded at the Pantai Medical Centre. Police, as usual, are investigating.
Dear Orang Seputeh, do we need more of such incidents before we will pay a ringgit or two a day to beef up our own security?
Parting advice: If we see anything amiss or anyone who's not supposed to be within our neighbourhood, call the cops. Again and again if necessary.
Call Rakan Cop: 03 – 21159999, Brickfields Station: 03-2274 4465/03-2274 2222 or the man in charge of the station -- Chief Inspector Badrol: 013-6778777

wow quite atrocious that this happened. Hope that the assailants get their just dues and that the victim recovers quickly. Agree with the comment that the police should have been called again and again.... and again if need to.
It is always dangerous to approach such groups on ones own.(there was probably drugs or alcohol involved, especially at that time of the morning). The police should have been called again and made these louts disperse. I hope the victim has now made a full recovery.
I believe we have a retired judge staying in the neighbourhood. Would be great if he wrote a letter to the top brass at brickfields police station. I dont the chief inspector, there should be a ASP or DSP at brickfields station cause its one of the bigger stations we have in kl.
